Never wake a sleeping mother

This morning at 5 am when I and the baby are finally asleep:
Clattering in the kitchen, then, "Honey where are the sodas?" Me, "RAWR". Sounds of wallpaper shredding and books tumbling off shelf.

My hubby thinks it's perfectly acceptable to try and have a conversation when I am ASLEEP. He doesn't get that my eyes are closed and I want to keep them that way.
I should punch him more when he wakes me up for no good reason.

Are you sure this Mom is asleep? The eyes look kind of open.

My husband once woke me up from a nap on the couch to tell me that dinner was ready. I opened my eyes, looked right at him and said, "Don't ever wake me up again." Well, that was years ago. See, I'm an insomniac.

Then, last week, there was a power outage in the middle of the night. I usually leave for work at about 6:30 a.m. and classes begin at my school at 8:00. Hubby woke me up at about 7:45. He said, "The power went out last night and our alarm didn't go off." WHAT??? I completely freaked, jumped into some clothes on the floor, grabbed a cup of coffee and flew to the door. Just as I was leaving, I asked, "What time did you get up?" He replied, "About 6:15. And I remembered to never wake you up!"
