I swear on everything that's holy and dear to me that nothing is rigged about me; and I know for a fact that you know. So stop bitching and use your fantastic brain. If he's reading it, there should be a way of finding out, no?

I object to the implication that I would not be able to put together an unbreakable puzzle!

Of course, in this case I didn't, cuz it's a game, but still ...

A listing of the clues:
there's a picture of a man
that is a writer
born in russia
in 1826
wrote a book
a masterpiece
that tells of a doctor eating fish
and of ungrateful sons, also eating fish
it isn't dostoevsky, it isn't tolstoy, it isn't rasputin (as if he were a writer), nor is it edgar allen poe, nor hector malot (russian as they both might be, ahum ...)

so follow the link in the post, sit face to face w/ the good ol' soul, and earn some points!

what's to win, you ask? Immortality, and a guest appearance on the blog sometime next april! Alea iacta est!

I can't remember the last time I sat and read a book. Must of been way back in school. Never was much good at it.

Chris.

I adore books, hope this comment doesn't get crushed in the WW visitors queue! x x

@chris: how strange not to read books, if you fill an entire blog with quotations, ... the first place I'd look for quotations ... well ... that'd be books, wouldn't it?

I thought the same thing...
