Apperently breastfeeding is disgusting!

It is not, but this guy thinks so! I was reading this today and I couldn't believe how conservative and absurd it was. I have to say just in case your not aware, that public breastfeeding is protected by law in the united states. I don't think you should need to go into a public bathroom to feed your child. Would you take a meal there? Probably not. As far as exposure goes, most of the time its not even that obvious. No one has ever said anything to me about it. This guy is a creep, and he's mean. Post him about it!

Vanishing; I would try not to let an ignorant person get to me. This person is obviously a fool.

He's an idiot with issues if you ask me. Excellent post to highlight what should be acceptable in every society. People have problems with it in the UK to, but mainly older people (doesn't figute to me!)

Breast is Best campaign still runs here

I've never had a problem with women breastfeeding, even in public, I find it the most natural thing there is. What's next; you can breathe in public? All the people who have a problem with it never understood the primary function of a breast, which is to feed. It is my opinion that they oversexualised the breast, and can no longer see it as the milkgland it actually is (no disrespect intended). Those people are the same who scandalise everything which is even remotely connected with nudity, because they are the ones with the dirty mind, not the mother feeding her child in the most natural way. There. I said it.

Hi carpentergirl

In Singapore here, there was a big protest years back where a group of mothers breastfeed their babies together in a public area(not sure how many, but enough to draw reporters). I agree that the guy is an idiot, breadfeeding is completely natural.
P/s in my country, "opening mouth" of shoes is a slang that means the soles has come off. Thanks for reading my most boring blog.

Right on! I repeat everything Lebber just said!
Wonder if my comments on the article will show ... tumtiedum ...

No problem here in South Africa. Generally only the Blacks as it is normal to them as it should be for everyone.

My ex-boss's secretary actually breast fed her baby while taking dictation once due to an urgent letter having to be sent out immediately. He didn't mind but another man, a batchelor, who walked in could have caught flies with his open mouth LOL

Please don't hate me...but I kinda agree with him.

Oh...I've rewritten my response about a dozen times...I think I'll just have to post it tomorrow, lol, instead of farming stuff =) You've hit a cord with me, dear!

Have a great day!

No hate, just vehement disagreement. Its a free country.
Let me explain why expecting a mother who is breastfeeding, to bottle feed her baby is unrealistic. You product milk by signal. Generally speaking, the more you remove the more you make. When a mother misses signals to produce milk, her milk drops off. The baby is left hungry, and has to nurse constantly for days to bring back the milk supply. All this to make some stranger comfortable? I think not.
Many women simply drape a shawl over themselves for additional privacy. I don't find it necessary, personally.

I read that post, and I agree with Princess...he is a very ignorant person, one not to be listened to.

My daughter breast feeds, and it is the most natural thing in the world. Small minded people will always complain about something!

Just read this post and the article you linked. WOW!

I am a firm supporter of breastfeeding and may eventually fall into the "cult" if you must.

What rock did this guy crawl out from under?

Anyways, was just lurking and thought I would shout out.

Happy Monday to ya!

For all those who consider openly breastfeeding in public "natural", I respond to say, I have a bowel movement every day, which is also quite "natural." However, I would not deign to do it in my airplane seat while sitting next to you.

Some of us would like to experience public life, including going to the store, or dining in an upscale restaurant, without the sight of sloppy wet-titted jersey cows such as yourself, ruining an evening out (or for that matter, your screaming brats disturbing the peace). When you are fully clothed and suitable for exposure to the public, come back out. Until then, stay at home (or at least in the bathroom).

To the bathroom crowd:

Would you eat your lunch in a restroom? If not, why would you expect an infant to have to do the same?

Haha, I'm in complete agreement with "In Complete Agreement"! Seriously, if you want to whip your udder out and shove it in your spawn's mouth, great, go right ahead, but for God's sake, DO IT IN PRIVATE! It is rude, selfish, and completely inconsiderate of the feelings of everyone around you.

That attitude is not surprising coming from parents nowadays, because they think the world revolves around them and their offspring. Everyone is expected to be completely considerate and solicitous of YOUR feelings, but you are infuriated at the mere IDEA that you might be expected to show an ounce of concern or consideration for other people and their feelings. How DARE the world not revolve completely around you and YOUR needs, wants, and desires?

I hate to be the one to break this news to you "Mommies", but honestly, YOU are the selfish, childish, demanding ones, not the people who think it's gross to whip your udder out in a public place and slap your kid on it. Have some freaking decorum, for God's sake!

There are a lot of things that are not acceptable in public (taking a dump is one of them), and it's not unreasonable to not want to see those things. What IS unreasonable is for you to think that you should get your way, simply because you don't want to be arsed to pump milk at home, or to find a private space to feed your kid.

With people as selfish and inconsiderate as you breeding, is it any wonder that there are so many spoiled, bratty, intolerable, undisciplined little monsters running amok nowadays? You want everything your way, and to hell with other people if they don't like it. Yeah, real classy attitude.

Oh, and for the record, I'm a child-free 26 year old woman, so no, it's not just old people and men who are repulsed by this. I have absolutely ZERO desire to breed (I find children repulsive), but if I *DID* spawn, I certainly wouldn't expect everyone to just be OK with me breastfeeding in public. It's just rude and selfish.

vanishingword-

If you don't care about the comfort and feelings of "some stranger", then why the hell would you expect them to give a damn about YOU and YOUR kid? You are a perfect example of the selfish, arrogant, entitled asshole parent that society is plagued with nowadays. You are a disgusting person, and remember...you get what you give, so don't be "shocked...SIMPLY SHOCKED!" when those strangers don't kowtow to you. Save the righteous indignation for someone who gives a damn, please.

anonymous-

Why would it matter if an infant eats in a bathroom? It's not like it has any awareness...it's basically just a lump until about age 2 or so. It wouldn't know that it's eating in the bathroom, so why does it matter?

And you know full well that it has nothing to do with the comfort level of the infant...it has to do with YOU, the mother. You just don't want to have to take the feelings of other people into account, so don't pretend that it's anything more than that.

Also, if it doesn't want to eat in the bathroom, then you'll certainly understand when I say that *I* don't want to eat in a restaurant where women are whipping their tits out left and right. Neither is appetizing in the least.

But of course, YOUR feelings are the important ones, and to hell with anyone who disagrees, right? God, and people wonder why I don't want kids. The idea of becoming anything like any of you selfish slags is bone-chilling. It truly is the stuff nightmares are made of. if this is what being a mother does to people, then I'm all for forced sterilization. Not that any of you will see your hypocrisy, or disgusting, selfish attitudes...nope, you'll call ME out for being a child-hating monster, a prude, a bitch, etc. But I'm sure deep down inside you know EXACTLY what you are, and you have to live with it, which I think is punishment enough. So that's enough from me...sorry for the novel. Oh wait, I'm not sorry, because you're all just "some strangers", and I care about you as much as you care about me! Which is, not at all. Piss off.

I think the nasty Anonymous was never breastfed and probably left to cry it out every night. Absolutely hateful, and you know you are and what is truly sad is that you have to live with yourself.

I agree with every word that guy said. Breastfeeding is sick and wrong. It is a sin, and is something that should never be done by anyone.

Weather is a set of all the phenomena occurring in a given atmosphere at a given time. Most weather phenomena occur in the troposphere, just below the stratosphere. Weather refers, generally, to day-to-day temperature and precipitation activity, whereas climate is the term for the average atmospheric conditions over longer periods of time. When used without qualification, "weather" is understood to be the weather of Earth.

Hey.

A bank is a financial institution that accepts deposits and channels those deposits into lending activities. Banks primarily provide financial services to customers while enriching investors. Government restrictions on financial activities by banks vary over time and location. Bank are important players in financial markets and offer services such as investment funds and loans. In some countries such as Germany, banks have historically owned major stakes in industrial corporations while in other countries such as the United States banks are prohibited from owning non-financial companies. In Japan, banks are usually the nexus of a cross-share holding entity known as the keiretsu. In France, bancassurance is prevalent, as most banks offer insurance services (and now real estate services) to their clients.

The level of government regulation of the banking industry varies widely, with countries such as Iceland, having relatively light regulation of the banking sector, and countries such as China having a wide variety of regulations but no systematic process that can be followed typical of a communist system.CLICK HERE

Breastfeeding is the Bestfeeding said...

I am writing an essay on Breastfeeding Campaigns in Britain and looked up this in order to find out exactly what the general negative stigma is involving breastfeeding. I couldn't open the article itself but all of those nasty comments have been of great help for my essay, even if they did make me feel a bit sick.
