Chinese toys and lead paint.

My son has anemia. You may think to yourself, "well thats too bad!" Allow me to elaborate... He's 9 months old, pale listless, feeling like crap. What causes anemia, the truth is that a lot of things factor in. Diet, illness, the ability to absorb iron, those sorts of things. I have been feeling really sorry for my baby, who wouldn't feel sorry for someone so tiny and innocent. It is natural to be a parent and suffer along with your child.
So now comes the the whole lead paint issue. What does lead paint do? Well it can cause anemia. Thats right, the toys your baby puts in its mouth may have lead based paint on it. Lead based paint lasts longer, probably works better when painting plastic I imagine. I can't begin to tell you how mad I am. Thank you very much China for almost making my child almost have to get a transfusion. I am enraged. I urge you to really inspect your toys if they come from China. Don't believe the non-toxic labels, they can do whatever they want over there.

Don't quite know what to say. Will the baby be ok? We stand by you and your family, how futile it may seem.

William will be ok. He's on a special diet now. I am just really hating the toy industry right now.

That's good to hear. I for one completely understand how you're feeling.

I keep hearing about recalls on very popular toys...who's in charge of 'quality control' anyway??!!!
Ummm...no one!

I am glad that you are on top of this Vanished, and that your baby is doing okay. My advice is to go back to toys of by gone days. -Wood teething beads, tiny gords, natural fabric hand made toys. It is terrible it has come to this but the FDA admits it can only test !% of toy products. And why we may ask is it impossible to find made in the USA toys? No wonder there aren't any jobs left.

I'm so sorry. I would be extremely angry, too. Thank you for the heads up...I have a grandson who is teething at the moment...but who would have suspected baby toys?!?!

Good to know your baby is okay, China already have taken drastic steps to increase their QC, but the international consumer's confidence has already been badly shaken to take a second chance.
